Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”

OK, this may be a little extreme. But most parents of children with ADHD appreciate the importance of a full, engaging, consistent schedule — particularly during the summer months. If left to their own devices, many kids will flock to their own devices‚ playing video games, clowning on SnapChat, and wasting July and August indoors. Downtime is OK, but unfettered screen time is not. Parents must set limits and, more importantly, find ways to promote other types of activities. In this webinar, learn how to harness the power of your child’s captivating technology to encourage physical, social, and creative play.

This webinar will address the following:

  • The biological and psychological explanation for technology’s magnetic appeal to children with ADHD
  • Three ways for parents to take control over screen time this summer
  • How outdoor time and exercise improve learning and ADHD symptoms
  • Specific strategies for combining tech time with outdoor and family time
  • How parents can identify games, apps, and digital media that will encourage physical, social, and creative play this summer

Webinar replays include:

  • Slides accompanying the webinar
  • Related resources from ADDitude
  • Free newsletter updates about ADHD
