Episode Description

Which academic plans, programs, accommodations, and services will help my child learn and succeed in school? It’s the question every parent asks — particularly if their child has ADHD — and the one that’s hardest to answer because it depends so heavily on each child’s strengths, weaknesses, and challenges. As a result, parents are often confused about the benefits of an IEP vs. a 504 Plan, and they don’t know how to determine which solution would best meet their child’s challenges.

This webinar will highlight key advantages and disadvantages of IEPs and 504 Plans for kids with ADHD. It will help parents identify the solution best suited for their child. And it will teach parents strategies for maximizing school services and minimizing the chance that educators will fail to enforce these invaluable plans.

In this webinar, parents will learn:

  • How to create a bulletproof IEP or 504 Plan
  • How to make your voice heard — and have maximum input — when creating these plans
  • How to add services to a plan and drop ones that aren’t working
  • Effective ways to make sure services in the plans are being implemented
  • How to address behavioral, not just academic, challenges in an IEP or 504 Plan
