How to Simplify Your To-Do List

Organization isn’t an innate skill. It’s something you develop over time, using specific strategies that work for your ADHD brain. In this video, Lisa Woodruff explains one easy trick to get more done and open up more time in your schedule.

Do you walk into a disorganized room and find yourself paralyzed and overwhelmed — how to prioritize or where to get started? It doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. Many adults with ADHD have trouble with task initiation — getting started, but also finishing the task at hand.

The best solution is to limit your to-do list to one item, even when you have ten things you want to get done. Why? Simple is better when it comes to getting things done. When you experience success crossing that one things off, you’re much more likely to keep going.

In the video, from her ADDitude webinar titled “Everything in Its Place: The ADHD Guide to Better Organization,” Lisa Woodruff, explains how to change the way you prioritize.
